dealing with safedisc alt aka lite, lt?
Greetings,
I am wondering how you deal with safedisc alt(lite, lt). I have searched both here and out on other sites. A number of them go into how to copy them, but I have yet to see one on how to deal with SD alt to create a no-cd fix. I would imagine one way of doing it would be to run ICE and use an editor. Is there a simpler way? I am specifically targeting Dungeon Siege v1.09b. I downloaded safedisk analyzer v 3.4, I couldn't seem to locate SD info on Dungeon Siege with this tool. I downloaded ClonyXXL and it told me the CD has safedisk alt. It was at this point that my attempt came to an ignominious halt. Did more searching, google, astalavista, altavista etc. All my searches seemed to come back with what it is/does but not really much in depth info into how. Any help will be appreciated, even if it's just a push in a direction of research I missed. Thanks |

I've the german Version of DUNGEON SIEGE and it doen't have any SafeDisc-Protection on the Discs. It seems there is only CD-Check.
I was able to copy the disc easily...

Safedisc lt a.k.a. safedisc lite a.k.a. safedisc alt copying the disk isn't a problem. I was hoping there was an easier way to deal with it then Ice, Dasm and Hiew(I have never been that slick with these 3 tools). I would like to make a NO-CD for it since I prefer to listen to my own music as opposed to repititions of the same 2 minute track. Thanks for the quick responses though. |
