HP 8230e (USB)
The CloneCD website has this burner listed as being able to read RAW+96 and write RAW-DAO 96. Which means it should be able to Read/Write All SubChannel data.
I purshased this burner for my IBM ThinkPad Laptop believing I would be able to use CloneCD to it's full potential. However, if I set CloneCD to Read SubChannel Data, I get the error "HP CD-Writer+ 8200f is not compatible with CloneCD Read Mode Read SubChannel Data from Data Tracks....." Does anyone out there know/heard of this problem? Does this does drive truly support Reading of SubChannel Data? If it does, any suggestions on getting it to work on my system? Thanks for any replies.

Just thought I would let everyone know that I got my problem solved. Turns out CloneCD version 2.8 may not have fully supported this drive. I upgraded to beta version 3.0.0.20 and everything is working just fine now.
I was getting ready to return the drive, but it looks like I got myself a great deal. I bought it for $209 canadian, which is a pretty good price since most places here are selling it for $299. Also, in comparison to other external burners its at least 2 to 3 hundred dollars cheaper. Anyway, I just want to thank anyone that may have tried to look into this problem but did not get a chance to reply. RM
