HP 9510i & Acer 6206A Q's

I just bought a HP 9510i. I would like to know what other burner this is listed as, and if it was a good choice. I also have a Acer 6206A drive. (it's only 2x2x6). Is there any hope for this drive? (I'd also like to know what it is also listed as..)
