Neo 3???

When i was surfing on the net i found this on www.modchipinc.com

This 8 wire NEO 3 mod chip works in the new Playstation 2! Once installed in your PS2, the NEO 3 ModChip will allow you to play all of your regular PlayStation CDR copies without the need for a swap trick. In addition, all PSX originals and backups now boot without the need to hold down the 'Eject' button. Combine an Interact GameShark2 with your NEO 3 ModChip and you will be able to play CDR copies of your favorite PlayStation2 games including EA Sports titles. Also play DVD-R backups! This is the updated neo 2.2 chip.

Allows you to play PS1 backups (direct boot)
Allows you to play CD-R backups (single swap)
Allows you to play DVD-R backups (single swap)
Just solder in 8 wires
Play Import and Copied games
Play PS2 and PSX Originals
All wires are color coded for easy installation
Fully compatible with every Japan, USA, UK and AU PS2

Does it still gives a 5.5 v to a 3.3 v laser?

sounds like all talk to me. it's impossible that it plays import originals as they claim. that's simply not doable with just 6 wires.
