The burning is fine but with that writer u will not be able to copy cds with safedisk v2 protection. a good drive which is able to copy all protections is the plextor 8x4x32 but that drive is so hard to find. have a look on the protections section of the forum i have posted a thread called "safedisk compatibitlty list" it has a list of writers that can copy sd2 BUT ##### to c what the burners on there can also do, stay away from philips drives as all they are good for are safedisk backups.

Don't pay any attention to the "Bl@de" character, its probably a case of him having a bad expierience with the Philips brand in the past. There aint to problem with the Philips writers as I have 1 of them and I aint never had any probs with them at all. and they will do ya safedisk 2 titles as well as any other writer.

Philips drives are poorly made drives u do not get the quality that u do with say Ricoh or Plextor, u can also not copy protected psx games with philips drives.

I have a Toshiba and all I can say, is that judging from my experience I'd recommend them.
My drive is an old 24x model, but most of the titles Iv'e shoved in it have been copied successfully. The only problem with the older models is the DAO speed - 1x on mine! But I can do a full RAW read. I also like the build quality. Bye. |
