fifa world cup 2002

No matter what I try I cannot create a backup of my genuine copy of fifa worldcup 2002, So I can play against my son on my other PC on my home network.
I have tried using 'no cd.exe', daemon stealth cdrom. I have created 1:1 image files. I also tried Nero and Clone at 1*copy speed, but It still will not run. The games back up but when I run the game I get 'insert CD'. I am running XP with a plexwriter 8/4/32a. I have updated the firmware etc. Can you help.

Does it work from the original on both PCs?
Have you really used a NoCD .exe or have you used a fixed .exe?
Tried different ones?
Daemon should work in any case, just the image has to be perfect.
Your writer doesnt support copying Safediscv2 (i think thats the protection of FIFA 2002), so CloneCD is of no use.
But a NoCD should work.

Well, heres how it should work:

1. copy content of CD to a temp dir

2. replace main .exe with a fixed .exe or NoCD .exe (make sure it works before doing so; also be sure to save a backup of original .exe for patching)

3. Burn content of temp dir to CD using the SAME label.

To make the NoCD work try compability mode. Right click .exe > properties > select Win98 or ME for best results.
Hope this helps.

I made a 1:1 working copy of Fifa 2002.
It is protected with SafeDisc ab V2.51 so I did the following:
Run clonecd and created an image reading at 4x and check Fast error skip. Nothing else was selected.

Before I wrote my image to a cd I wanted to be sure it would work so as to prevent making a coaster.
I mounted the image with Daemon tools and bingo, it worked.

Having done this, I was confident that I could continue to make the copy. I wrote at 4x and did not select amplify weak sectors.

Hope this was of some help.
