ps2 model shpc 10000 japan

Ever since I bought this ps2 from a drifter in my neighbourhood,

(red light district - amsterdam)
I've been trying to find
the ideal modchip. So far I've tried the neo 2.2 and some other
chips. This week were going to build in the Origa 1.25 jap
My questions are:

Does anyone own a same model ps2 and build in a modchip
succesfully?

If not does anyone knows which other modchips could or should work?

First timer on the board and already likin it

yep

I have the origa chip built into my jap 10000 model. I found that it can play pal/usa/jap games. However, be warned. I found that the pal games not to work on my machine are Gran turismo 3 and some shoot em up. For some reason I can't remember the name of the game. ITs by namco and it is in the arcade and uses a gun. Something TIME. boo hoo cry now.

I've got two 15000s Origa 1.25 and we've modded many 10000s same way. Everything plays incl. PAL GT3. Only problem is on 10000s we've never yet been able to play a PS1 backup. But we don't care about that ourselves.

weird

Weird charlie. I have a jap 10000 model with a origa jap installed. However, I can't get past the title screen for the GT3 pal. Same with another pal game. Any other games have yet to have a problem. Any ideas?

novachip

Charlie
did you ever hear anyone installing the nova-chip?
The guy who'se gonna build in the chip will use
a nova instead of the origa 1.25.

Nova on US PS2 is quite common. None have identified themselves in front of me with Jap 1000/15000. So can't help ypu here. You're the customer, tell him to make it Origa 1.25 if you are worried.
