Question NEO4.1 Questions

I have PS2 US V3 and I would like to mod, I know that I can't mod with the Messiah chip so I would like to put another one... I won't pay for the chip and the instalation because a friend of mine will pay for me.... So Iwould like to know if the NEO4.1 is it a good choice.... I know about the price, the 44wires and about the DVDr swap trick but I don't worry about it, because like I said I won't pay for anything.... and the DVD MultiRegion stuff is good for me...
I would like to know if the NEO 4 could mess my console in time or does damage the laser... like NEO2.2...
What's the best to do? Mod with NEO4 or forget about it and try another one?
PS: i could wait for the MEssiah2 but for me is not a big deal if this chip doesn't play MultiRegion DVD....
Thanks

If you can wait, it will be well worth it...if not, get an Origachip, from what I've read, it is a really good substitute for a Messiah. Because I think the neo chips do damage the laser with a high voltage emmitance. Try using the 'search' function in this forum and you may find your answers (incase I'm wrong).
