Hi, I was wondering what the file size should be for a dreamcast game. I see on one website that the files are broken down into 19.00 mb per file. I know that these files are compressed so I was wondering how many files usually make up one game. E-mail your answer to me if you can at nivek41********com.
Thanks Kevin |

It depends on the size of your game !!!
Some games can fit on a few Mo, but most of the releases take about 600 / 700 Mo. I think what you're talking about is RAR files. It's compressed files that allow you to download a game not at once. You might for example take 1 file from a location and another from somewhere else, so that you're not obliged to download the full 700 Mo image file. And here again, the number of these RAR files depends on the size of your original game. To know the right number, there's more often a NFO file (an info text file). Read it. I mean is it realistic that 3 or 4 19.00 mb rar files are compressed enough that when you unpack them it will be a 600 mb game?

Of course no, unless you have a huge dummy file.
But some games are compressed with few RAR files (3 or 4). Anyway, try to decompress your game and you'll know immediately if your game is complete or not !!! |
