Look here

It shows that the PX-W8432 (Atapi) isn't capable of correct EFM coding. This means it cannot reproduce Safedisk 2 perfectly. But what may help is Clone CD's AWS - I think it will work for the Plex. Download Clone CD 4

I'm guessing you mean stripping the SD2 protection from the CD. You can do this by downloading a fixed exe from GCW or you can create it urself (if below version 2.51) by using Unsafedisk.

Then it's just a matter of replacing the original exe with the new 'fixed' one.

You won't be able to use Unsafedisk on MOHAA or any other 2.51 game. For Black & White you can use it. If you don't want to use it you can download the fixed exe from GCW

Instructions for Unsafedisk:

1)Copy all dll's to a temp directory, along with the main exe as well.

2)Run safedisk 2 dumper on the exe. A data.bin file is created.

3)Run safedisk 2 Rebuilder on the data.bin file. This creates your new 'fixed exe'.

4)Rename the new file to exactly what the original one was.

5)To burn to a CD-R - copy the whole disk to a temp directory, replace the original exe with the new 'fixed exe'. Use Nero preferably to burn the contents of the temp directory WITH THE ORIGINAL CD LABEL. If the label on the original cd is "B&W", then your copy must have this exactly as well.

BTW: Instead of replacing to exe from the start, you could just create a directory on the cd called crack. Then when you install it, you copy the crack onto your hard drive overwritting the original exe. The advantage of this is you will have a copy of the original exe for updating. Alternatively you could create a directory called originalexe instead, and do it the other way which is handier.

runblack.exe is the one you're after (the easiest way to find which one you're after is to right click on your desktop icon for the game and see which prog it points to)

Click the link at the top of this page which says Daemon tools etc and go to the page "safedisc tools"

There you will find a graphic tutorial on how to use unsafedisc.

ok just to be sure i will repete what i think is the right thing to do

------ at 5) its says (replace the original exe with the new 'fixed exe') but i cant find the main exe (runblack.exe) in the cd cuz all i want to do is a backup

It is probably hidden away in a .cab file or something. You could try extracting it (bit time consuming) or you could create a folder on the cd called "crack" and then after installation, replace the files on the hard drive

if you make the crack then you won't have to copy the game with clone cd...you can just put the crack folder into the gaem cd and the crack will always be there....
