Plextor - Hardware revision TLA #0101

I'm thinking on buying a Cd-Writer and I've three questions:

* Are the Plextor 12/10/32A and the Plextor PX-W1210A the same recorder?

* I've read in the CloneCD help pages that Plextor PX-W1210A with Hardware revision TLA #0101 doesn't support reading Subchannel Data from data tracks... Is there any way of knowing this characteristic of the recorder before buying it? (any code in the box... I don't know...)

* If my CD-reader (Samsung SC-152) supports reading this subchannel data... Could the Plextor write a image which have been done with CloneCD using the reader?

Thanks!

My Answer:

*Yes
*Check the box before you purchase it, there will be a label and it should have the hardware revision number on it, anything but the one mentioned should be fine.
*Yes?/Almost certain its only a read problem and nothing to do with write

The Plextor is fine kit (I have one)and will backup almost anything bar Safedisc 2, but that will come.
