When I make a backup using XP and cloneCD the backup will not work on my XP machine but will work with other machine running ME. What do I need to do on the XP to make it run?

I have XP Pro and have had no problems with game backups. If the backup is an older game you have to go the file of the game, right click on the exe. file (the file you would click on the start the game) click on compatability and change the operating system to 98 or me. This will trick the game into thinking your not using XP. I had the same problem with an older golf game. Additionally, make sure everything has been updated.

The backup copy I am tryin to make is a newer game (Empire Earth & NASCAR 2002) and will run with XP with the origional. The backup will work on my ME machine, but I want it to work with my XP machine also. I"ve never really encountered a problem like this before, but since I've upgraded none of my newly made backups are working.

Before anybody will be able to help you, you will need to specify what kind of burner you have. I have a lite-on 24x. If you have a different burner than I do some one else is going to have to help you out. Good luck
