Please help CloneCD & XP problem

I upgraded from ME to XP home, w/ ME had no problem backing up protected CDs. now w/ XP even using clonyXXL it sez copy complete put in the cd and gives me the first screen click play and the cd just spins nothing else happens this happens on Empire Earth, Nascar 2002 any thing I try to backup. If anyone has any ideas PLEASE help
