Question * Sims and WinXP Trouble *

I made a backup of The Sims and have been playing it for about a week now. My girlfriend was playing it yesterday just fine, and when I went to start the program last night, it said that the program messed up and asked if I wanted to send the error report to Microsoft and all of that crap before the game even loaded. I shut down and tried again and the same problem.

This morning I tried to run it again and it keeps giving me the same message. What could be wrong? I guess I'll just uninstall it and then reinstall. Any ideas on what could've gone wrong?

Also, I backed it up using CloneCd and Lite-On burner with Raw-Dao mode and all of that, so it's a 1:1 copy, and it's been working flawlessly.

reinstalled, still trouble

I reinstalled the game a couple of times, and it still won't let me run it. Why would I be able to play the game for a week, and now all of the sudden it won't load at all?

I can't recall a time that I've ever had to restart my computer. I installed Ad-aware just recently and the update file for that, but I haven't heard of anybody else having problems with that program.

I'm very cautious when it comes to my computer. I ran a virus check and found nothing. Now more of my programs are reporting errors, including RTCW and AVG Antivirus, and my mouse works about 50% of the time. I'm so pissed, I'm backing up all of my files that I still want and am reformatting my hard drive and reinstalling XP.

I did like XP, until this Sh!T !!!
