Sims Vacation nocd executable in a zip file

i have 2 questions...does anyone know where i can find the Sims vacation nocd executable in a file?...i am askin because i no longer have the link it originally came from, and what does the message Could not find the Sims data directory mean?...the first nite i installed the no cd patch the game, it worked fine...i hadn't played it since...then when i wanted to play tonite, and i am gettin the message Could not find the Sims data directory...Help!...i had to reinstall all my games to see if that would help, andi am still gettin that message.

it said this to me once but now it's better

i fixed this problem simply by creating a folder called "data" in the sims program file.

in windows. in the folder "sims" simply click file then click new, then click folder now type in "Data". leave the folder completley blank.

now you can proboboly run the sims.

crap...

umm...i have the sims: complete collection, and in the sims: vacation section i accidentally deleted the public phone in an area where i just created a lot. I looked through the miscellaneous & electronic parts of every part of the buy mode thingy. How can i get a new public phone or an alternative way to send my sims home? <-----haha i love that smiley

Well, you can try uninstalling the game and then re-installing it if you can find one of the files for that if you haven't already. That happened with my PC a while back.
