I am also looking for this... I saw that same thread, posted too. I don't have the game yet, but I'm expecting it soon! So I want to have everything ready for my LAN party when it gets here :-)

Wahoo!

It came today! And I figured it out, I just got Virtual CD 4, and made a virtual drive out of it, but you HAVE to name it: JediOutcast, it took me an hour to figure that out. Oh and install it from that "drive". If you didn't, go into the registry and change the directories manually.

Does the VCD thing really work?

For the VCD trick do I have to have Version 4 of VCD? Or can I use 2...cause thats all I have access to at this moment.

Unhappy

I have the same prob too, only I dl'd the gamecopyworld crack for mp and sp and the mp version gives me cl packet errors at random intervals. I do, however, have a burner and have successfuly burnt a copy of the game, but it still does not clear cd check. Any ideas on how I can get it to work or get a crack that can work for mp? Should I try naming the cd JediOucast like VPN? I'm trying not to waste cds. Later.

Solved!

Hey guys - got it all figured out. If you have a burner handy, burn a copy of the game (there is no overwrite protection on it, just make sure the data is in the same locations - ie there is NO sub folder that the whole cd is in) It is the same as the virtual drive, just name the cd JediOutcast. ALL mp and sp probs will go right away (unless you installed one of the cracks, then do a freash install).

I suppose if you had no burner and got really desperate then you could create a Virtual Drive instead, but the key to the whole game is - install from the drive the check will be made on and title it JediKnight.

Hope that helps. Later.

But you still need the cd with your unorthadox method. You could achieve the same results as bdw|Rascal with Clone CD - no messing around.
