PLEASE Help with SBOX

I have a NTSC PS2 with a SBOX and GameShark 2 V2. My PS2 worked great with backups until I made a DVD backup and fit it into a CDr (less than 620MB). It works sometimes and sometimes I have to be trying and trying over and over until it starts the game. I do the following:

Gameshark2
Start Game
Without Codes
Open tray
Turn SBOX on
Put backup on tray and close tray
Press X.

There are so many different ways to swap and I did most of them and still all my other games work except for the 007 Bond and Jak and Daxter CDr backups (they work sometimes and sometimes they don't). Somebody told me that I should adjust my laser to +600. Does anybody know what I should do?

Thanks.

Daniel.

If you are not having problems with any other backups then i would say you have a poor backup. leave the laser as is.
