dodgy cracks

Just who are these people who send cracks that don't work?
Bridge Commander and Virtua Tennis are both ace archives but fail to open. Does anyone else have this problem??

One simple search or even just a single glance at the top of this forum would tell you how to open ACE files - download the LATEST WinACE and try not to blame other who put a lot of time into these cracks, when the problem usually lies at your own feet.

How do you know the cracks don't work when you can't even open the archive?

You meant to say 'Archived files' didn't you? Check that you really do have an ACE/ZIP/RAR archive first, you can do this by changing the extension to ACE/ZIP/RAR and opening with the appropriate archiver, or load the file into a HEX editor and look at the first few bytes of the file, you should see some text like:

**ACE** for ACE files
PK for ZIP files
Rar! for RAR files

I've downloaded an ACE file before only to find out it was a RAR file renamed to ACE.

I have the problem with the ACE file, too.
It is defenetly an ACE file, I loked it up.

I need the german fixed of Bridge Commander.
Anyone working on it???
