Question Neokey installation

I have purchased the Neokey. However I am not exactly positive how to install it. On one website it says to directly run the wire from one point to the other. Another website says to break a connection between two capacitors? Also do I sauter it to the edge of the capacitor/transistor or to the whole thing. The picture points to the edge. If anyone has any experience installing this modchip please post a reply.
thanx

Sounds like you are modding a v5, solder to the edge of the transistor, do not break or remove the component, it is not necessary.

Actually its a version 4 playstation 2 even though it says 30001 R on the back. the motherboard matches up with the version 4. so do i still install it the same way? to the edge of the transistor?

Yes, solder it exactly as shown in the diagram. On the side.
