I am not sure, but I think its not possible. Because DVD disk is way different from cd and the biggest difference is its size. There is no possible way you can fit a DVD on a cd even 2 cd's.

I haven't tried it yet, 'cause I don't have a dvd drive. But it should be possible, as there's some progs out there which can rip & compress dvd videos so that they fit on a regular cd-r. It will only work for videos though, not for other dvd's.

Check out some of the programs that you'll find at the cdmediaworld.

I haven't done it with a DVD drive but I have done it by capturing it with a VCD capture card from my home DVD player & then burning it with the Nero burning program. You could go to http://www.vcdhelper.com , they have plenty of information on this sort of thing.

Ah come on now !
1. You need a DVD rom drive for a starter.
2. You need to decrypt the files on it. Try DVD Decrypter
(This can take 20 minutes)
3. Then you need a conversion program to convert the CORRECT files to VCD (or SVCD)
This bit is normally measured in DAYS of processing work.
4. Then you need to ensure the CD disks you use are compatable with the DVD drive, particularly if you plan to use a stand alone one.

This is a huge subject, and can get a bit technical.
Damn interesting though !!
Good Luck.

Can you convert these files from US to PAL - in software?

Now I know why AMD keeps making 1GHz+ Athlons!

This sertainly is possible and won't take you days of processing work, just about 6 hours for video, 45 min for audio and 20 min for muxing audio and video. All answers here: www.doom9.net
