Question DVD+RW Media (Not DVD-RW)

Ok, I Just bought a Hp DVD-100i and it came with a DVD+RW media. I burned Para Para Paradise onto it and I know my ps2 reads it (v5) cuz when i put it in normally it gives me that red "Please inster ps2 format disc" message. I have a v5 r-mod, and I was wondering why the instructions dont work for the dvd-r boot?

PS2 DVD (Silver or DVD-R)

(1) Boot AR2/GS2 disc 1.
(2) At the main screen (figure 1), press the EJECT button to eject the CD tray.
(3) Replace the AR2/GS2 disc with an original PS2 DVD game, such as Dead or Alive 2.
(4) Close the CD tray (press EJECT again) and wait for about 30 seconds.
(5) Select START GAME (figure 2) and then select WITHOUT CODES (figure 3).
(6) Once the AR2/GS2 is asking to change the game disc (figure 4), press the EJECT button till the light changes from green to orange.
(7) The CD tray will now open and you can replace the DVD game with your backup copy.
(8) The CD tray will automatically close after about 5 seconds.
(9) Wait till the the power LED changes from orange to green again and press X now to start the game.

Can someone give me a different method taht might work? Thanx.

Hp DVD-100i

U might try buying a diff drive such as Pioneer A03 it burns dvd-r which is what most of us here have to use to get games to backup correctly. I dont beleive dvd+rw ps2 will read. According to all the guides i have read.
