Messiah dvd prob

Having problems with dvd's some work while others do not but they work after resetting the ps2 several times
ps2 v5 with messiah

movies or games?

if movies: to boot dvd movies, you have to hit reset twice after turning on the system from standby.

if the problem remains: might be either your dvd laser being too weak, or the wires to the chip are too long.

if one copie works and another not i have 2x suggest. First try a copy that won`t work with you on a other ps2 and if the copy works maybe you need to check your laser. it can be weak.
2end you use evrytime the same brand dvdr? if you have a no name brand for example you have to burn it at 1x but still your laser can have problems withj it. Use verbatim

Wasn't resetting the machine properly, works fine
