Lightbulb 2 discs in drive!?

Hi

Just got my ps2 v5 succesfully chipped with a messiah chip from charlie_ps2. Works like a charm, BUT there's one game I cant boot. It sounds like the ps2 can't read the disc, cause it spinning up and down all the time. It's a cd-rom backup. I've burned other games on these cd's (verbatim) which works fine.
Somebody once told me that I could try putting another disc on top of the hard to read disc. Is this a good idea? Can I harm the ps2, the drive, the laser or anything else?

Dont do that what ever you do try a swap trick as some games like Top Gear Dare Devil and X-squad will not work on a PS2 with the neo4 so you have to do the same swap trick as you do with the dvds only you use an original cd instead of a dvd

Sounds just like a bad copy. The two disc thing is for a different purpase. If you have copied something on a non-branded cd at 8 speed for example the laser will go right true the cd. It doesn`t harm the cd but the laser just don`t get any reflection. if you put another cd on top of the bad cd you could have a better reflection but my advice is not to do this. certainly not in a ps2. Those things are very sensitive. you could try to slow down your writing speed but verbatin is a good brand. you could try clonecd. http://www.elby.org/
