Does it matter what CDR/W to use

I got 50 discs from asda and they seem ok, i really don't know much about media yet, as i have only had my liteon re-writer for a week.
Any suggestions of where to buy at a good price, especially CDRW as these are really expensive in PC WORLD.

Also I have made a back up copy of land warrior (at last!, thanks to clony xxl). but i have noticed little white dots on the screen, it's not that bad, but you can notice them every now and then, could this be my media, graphics card?

.........OK, I have a new liteon re writer, what i need to know, before my missus goes out and buys cheap crap media is:

What colour of disk to go for, if this matters?
What make?

anything really, any info will be useful.

She did buy 50 cdr 700mb from asda (durabrand cd-r and dc-r?)

Thanks for looking
