Ok I have an Sony DVD/CD/VCD Player (DVP-S350) and I tried CD-R's no luck at all will not read them. But then I copy onto a CD-RW and it works no problem. So CD-RW's work better than a CD-R. I think the reason why is that in a CD-R they use a ink die, when it is burned can't be burned anymore. Where as in a CD-RW they have many layers ( but not a die, don't know what kind).

As great as Sonys DVD players are, they always give people hell when trying to read CDRs...
I recommend Panasonic DVD players. There newest model (RV 31 I think) is brilliant.. Plays VCD, CDRS and MP3s... |

In the CDR section of the site it says that the Princo CD-R74 Gold is "Very compatible with CD/DVD-Readers which normally are very critical about CD-R's"
Now my problem and question is under what brand name can they be found and who sells them in the UK. I can't find much about them. I want to send jpg's on CD (Made with CeQuadrat WinOnCD Power Edition to relatives with DVD players). I can view the discs fine on a CyberHome 512 but ordinary DVDs can't even load them. Noticed Maplins selling spindle of 50 multicoloured Princo CDRs but don't think these are the same, anyone know any different? |
