Question C & C Renegade crash

I have a Kyro II 64 meg latest drivers. Running Windows XP with half a gig of ram and 1600+ cpu.

Now....got both cd. Both burn 3 times. Both are able to be read.

Now when it come to install CD #1 ..i see the menue to say Install.

So I do.

I wait. Then I get a black screen. Then I hear the sound of the game ( must be a video ) ....then STOP. Everything stop and nothing running it crash and system reboots.

Does anyone having the same problem with the Kyro?

The installation seem not to like the drivers of the Kyro card at all. EVEN if i went back to 2 version before the new one...still get the same problem.

At first it was cause of the pcanywhere 10.5. Did not like it. Then it is the Kyro II drivers now.

Please dont ask me if the game has posted a patch. Cause how you expect to put a patch on a game that is not install?

hehe

Well your input would be apreciated.

I know nothing about this game but may help with answers to the following:

So how long before the black screen.

Have you checked with the game website if there are any known problems (possibly video or other bugs they know of).

Have you checked your hard drive to be sure nothing has been installed
