DVD virgin

please help I have never backed up a dvd before can any one help. do i need a special dvd writer or will my normal cd writer do. whats the best software to use and can my standard laptop manage the task it has a 3.2g hard disk.

3.2 gig hard drive is way below what you are going to need.

People don't fret relax....

10 gig HD 6 in some cases.
A regular WRiter will do.

And seven pieces of software:
Mp3 codec, mp4 codec, smartripper, flask, DVtool, TMPEnce, and Nero!!!!!!!
