dvdr movies-do they work?

hi. at the momment i'm waiting for my ps2 to be delivered and was wondering if it would play dvdr movies. does it make any difference if its modded or not (i plan on using r-mod or neo2.2 depending on which model i recieve)?

Mine played DVDr movies fine, but that was when it was already modded. I couldn't play DVDr games until I had the right CDs to play with, but I don't think it'll matter, due to the fact that stand alone dvd players can for the most part play DVDr discs. (At least all 6 in my house can!) And one is a very early model player... Hell, I think all can play DVD-RW discs as well, but I can't confirm that. (I think I'll go check now.)
