Making my own DVD Rips?

I don't wanna invest in a DVD Burner, and was wondering if I could rip dvd games myself, and how easy it'd be? Would you need to know much about programming or anything like that? Also, I plan on getting the no-solder rmod for v5 ps2s, and have heard it won't play games over 74 minutes. Would I be able to make them less than 74 mins by ripping my own? Just curious, send me to some FAQs or something if you want...thanks.

sure you can burn cds over 74 minutes and they WILL boot, if you got a dvd reader you can rip the game and if it fits on a cdr you can burn a working backup, if they are to big you can rip stuff out and burn them.. somegames are just to big to put on a cdr so for those you need a dvdburner
