Can Jap Ps2 Games Be Made To Play On A Us Ps2?
CAN JAP PS2 GAMES BE MADE TO PLAY ON A US PS2? i CAN'T FIND A MODCHIP TO DO IT AND I HAVEN'T FOUND A BURNING PROGRAM TO CIRCUMVENT THE REGION CODING. CAN ANYONE HELP, I REALLY DON'T FEEL LIKE BUYING A SECOND PS2. THANKS.

Sure it can with an Origachip (www.origachip.com).
You'll have no problems with the NTSC side/colour etc. as regards Jap games. Origachip plays Jap originals too (and PAL originals). But with those lame (some) US TVs there might be colour problems with PAL games. Lots of forum members have the Origachip.

Is it very hard to install? Does it come with a soder device?
I'm quite nervous to mess around with my (PS2) hardware since it would be the first time doing such a thing. I'm still stuck with a PAL version of Pro-Evolution Soccer I'm dying to play.

In my opinion it needs a soldering expert to install. He will need a .1 mm tip; a 15 watt iron; 33 or 35 swg solder wire; an 8x magnifying glass.
Not for a novice.
