Info on CLONE CD

If i`ve got a Cloned Ps2 backup for me to copy it do i have to burn an image to my hard drive then burn it from there or can i just copy it straight using Clone CD on the copy cd choice at the start

Any Info Will Be Much Appriciated

It's always safer to create a image on HD first, then burn to cdr.
