NeoKey USB install problem

Hi,

Was wondering if someone could help me concerning running ps2 backups using the neokey USB chip.

I installed it and the internal wire, but my PS2 backups just freeze at the loading screen of the GS2 menu. The USB Neokey lights up fine asi indicated in the directions, but the bubbles never stop after pushing eject. These backups have been verified to work on a friends PS2 using the "cog method".

I have a version 4 playstation if it's any help.

Thanks in advance)

I've tried Time Crisis, Twisted Metal Black, and Dynasty Warriors 2. All the backups work fine on my buddies PS2-- only difference is that he doesn't use a modchip, just some modification involving removing his tray cover and using tweezers to pull out the tray itself with the GS2 loaded.

The USB chip I'm using says SBOX on the front and invloved the soldering of 1 wire only. Any ideas?

The games mentioned are all dvd games, if they are dvd-r backups the usb mod will not load them by itself. You will have to do the cog, knife method like your friend if you want to play them, if they are ripped to cdr then you will have to patch in order for them to load.

Ok, forgive my lack of knowledge in this matter, but one last question. The "cog/knife" method does not need patched version of the CD-R's, but the NEOKEY does?

Thanks

Ok, I reopened my PS2 to make sure the single wire link was ok. According to the picture I worked off of at: http://www.modchip.ca/neokey.html version 4 diagram my install is ok. If you'll note the picture indicates that the wire should be soldered to the TOP part of the chip (figure A).

Now if I go to:

http://www.lik-sang.com/download/sbox/neokey_4.jpg

The same diagram indicates that it should be soldered to the BOTTOM of the chip.

My question now is which diagram is right, and does it make a difference if it's soldered to the top or bottom (or even middle?) part of the chip?

Thanks in advance, just dis-assembling my PS2 to this extent makes me cringe
