File doesn't even exist. After I deleted playbackup.exe, I did a search of "playback" on my system, which came up with matches at all. Civ3 still doesn't work.
Edit: It worked! Funny how searching for "playback" turns up nothing, but searching for "*.vxd" does. The file was in the /windows/system/iosubsys directory BTW. Deleted, rebooted, and Civ3 finally fuckin starts. Tell me what copy protection is for again? Last edited by Zril; 15-02-2002 at 09:14.
