Neo 2.5 installation info

I've found that installing the Neo 2.5 on a US V4 only requires 3 wires to be soldered directly on the board instead of the 5 as it is advertised. 2 of these 3 spots are fairly large and quite easy to solder. the third is somewhat small and needs to be done with a little care. But overall I thought it was quite easy.

Hey Park, I'm doing my first 2.5 in the next few days... Do you have a diagram or descripton on which connections you used, and which you ignored? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My PS2 is a US v4R. You can't ignore any of the connections. However, you can connect the red and the black wires to different locations which make them much much easier. If you go to ####://www.consolesource.com/installation/p2-n25-cdr/usver4.htm# and look at the wiring diagram, points 1 and 2 can be connected to the wires going to the connector instead of being soldered directly to the board. This makes installation much simpler as these two solder points on the board are quite small.
