How do you tell if the burner can read EFM encoding?

Like it says! I have a Liteon 32x12x40, and I know the 24x10x40 can correctly read and write EFM encoding. On CloneCD's web site it shows just one of them. But the 32x12x40 is new, so how I can I tell???

Yeah, but Elaborate Bytes does not show it on there web site. Under supported writers!

hey,i have ricoh mp7163a and in the html you posted it says that it failed to copy max payne!!!i did a very good copy of max payne and i didn't have to download any patches!!!
what do you think about this?

I downloaded that file of yours, and did what you said. It work just on your file! But I try some different games, nothing happen! Clone would not make a image. So what now?

Sorry but I did what he said and was able to copy the file without any errors! But when I tried to copy some games that use SD2. Clone does not what to!!!! I did nothing wrong.

If the problem is making an image, make sure you have Fast Error Skip checked, read retries =0, error correction = software

I tried 0 retries, error correction = software. But it keeps jumping to hardware. That's fine.

Got it to work finally!! When it first start copying the image it takes about 2 minutes. I thought it was shorter. But that was me. So thank you guy's!!!!!

Awesome...., i forgot to add that it is not that accurate and it depends wholly on the users who e-mail them and tell them whether something worked or not. So e-mail them and tell them that it works.
