clone cd install

When I try to install clone cd, I get the message "You are in the US or Japan, due to laws... the Amplify weak sectors and hide cdr media options will not be available"

Any way around that?

START/SETTINGS/CONTROL PANEL/REGIONAL SETTINGS/

and change to English (canadian) if you're a Yank
Or, English (Ireland) if you're a limey/pommie

God, what incredible idiocy!

This CloneCD proggie pisses me off. First, it won't burn anything on my burner. It reads the image allright, then when it starts burning it gives "timeout on logical unit". I haven't been able to burn anything so far.

Now this dumb protection blocks the most important options from users, based on their PC regional settings... So stupid.

And it's a shame, because CloneCD does seem to be a powerful tool...

clone cd works for millions of people. you claim it is a piece of s***. hmmmmm.......

clonecd is compatible with most readers/writers. in fact, i think you have to go out of your way to get one its not compatible with.

Well, if it works for millions and doesn't work for me, then to me it's a piece of s*** indeed.

My writer is an old SAF CD-RW. It's not listed as officially supported on the CloneCD site, so it just might happen that it's not supported, because it's really old.

It's supported in part, though. I use it for reading, and I successfully read the image file, even of some protected games, but when it gets to writing, it gives me the "Timeout on Logical Unit" error, before even starting.

Maybe I'm missing some config option.

At this point it's not crucial. When I get the new CD-Recorder, I'll see to that that all proggies work with it.

Edit: By the way, recommend me some CD-Recorders that are good, especially in reading and burning protected CDs.
