Black & White- applied patch but now can't load game!

Can anyone suggest why on applying the official patch B&W won't load?
I've uninstalled the game and then cleared reg and reinstalled then appplied the patch from black_white-v1100final.zip. EA help desk was useless.
Is there a way of applying a NOCD procedure to get this working?

The original game on my puter doesn't boot after I've applied the official 1.1v patch

Its in german!!! I can not read german!!!

I need a backup copy of black and white fast! I've got a big split on my cd and I don't want to pay £7.50 for a replacement.

Can you give me advise on making a backup or running from my harddrive?

I have no apps such as unsafedisk ect and no experience with them.

I've used no-cd (Its still german! ) thats worked perfectly..... but it took ages to transfer it to my other pc without a disk big enough to hold 2mb....but thats another story.

My original cd now has a crack......no......I mean split.......so I will have to pay £7.50 for a replacement.

Why do replacements cost so much when other companies can afford to give away free cds, AOL for example!

Because AOL have such a large bunch of ppl that are scared stiff of computers paying through the nose for connection and using all software that AOL ever release. Hmm doesn't that sound rather like Microsoft? That's another story.

To be honest though £7.50 for a new CD is that bad at least you get a huge discount for buying it in the first place.

Try driving your car into a wall and see if the car company will give you a huge discount on a new one!
