uncrackable games = bye bye GamesCopyWorld

Yup....

Virgin Interactive have published the latest version of Cueball World by Awesome Developments Ltd.....

Not only is it a great game - but for over a month of release - NO ONE has been able to crack it - and you cant copy it either (latest version of safedisk)...

The industry is laughing all the way to bank... i guess Virgin Interactive is showing crack experts and hackers that some games are uncrackable....

If this continues - I presume that GameCOpyWorld's days are numbered... after all - we all come here to make back-up copies are run our games from our hard-drives (without the disks) thanks to fixed exe's that are provided freely on the site.

However.... If GamesCOpyWorld can't provide the service (free or not) - there is eventually going to be no more reasons to come back here right?...

For everyone at GamesCOpyWorld - I sincerely hope you guys can pull your stuff back together and keep your user base from disappearing (me being one of them).

I among many others have enjoyed using this site but I guess at the end of the day - nothing lasts forever!

Good luck and many thanx for a great service that you were once able to provide.

BOT is on a distinguished road
GCW relies a lot on people uploading game cracks from rips, etc.
However if nobody bothers to then it won't be available.

There is a way around everything.
Anything written in any form of code is crackable.
Most hardware too like the dongle etc.
People said that would stop cracks/piracy. Not so.
Give it time.
It's fairly new, so it will take some time to work it out.
In a couple of months or so u will probably see a few cracks out for this protection.
Besides, this site is not just about copying games as the name suggests. There is plenty of information, good links, helpful support, & other stuff to be gotten from here. Doubt if this site will die because of new protection schemes.
Just needs someone with the knowledge to continue where R!sc left off.

With the new SD2 it means that there IS a reason to continue (not that it was ever over

Don't be confused that the new SD2 is any better than the ones before it just because there is no unSafeDisc tool available... It just will take longer to post the EXE's as we have to wait for someone to crack it manually and someone to send it to us! But EVERY game will be cracked one way or another

So if you think GCW is over for you, then do the easy thing: Don't come here... who needs you sucking our work for free without bothering to support us and then complaining that something has gone wrong... GCW is a hobby no more than that, we don't do it for fame or whatever. We're just there for the people who are into gaming

bitrate
I know someone who had the ISO of it at least 2 weeks ago so I don't know where this 'new' info has come from....

BTW...it's a crap game anyway, doesn't support multiplayer online...it's actually worse than the previous release Cueball 2.

Oh...and you can download Jimmy Whites Cueball 2 FREE from freeloader.com (not warez...it's perfectly legal!) all you need to do is register with them.

I think EMPiRE summed it up nicely!

If WE, the visitors, don't help support GCW, how is it going to provide the files??

The site will only disappear when files stop being sent there, so it's in OUR hands, and not the so called 'uncrackable' games, whether the site survives!!

What I don't understand is why no one hasn't taken up the challenge once the senior has fallen? Where is the "appretice in waiting"? There is always someone in this HUGE pool within the scene that should always be there to take over when a vaccum is created. Where are they? It should be near-seemless but I'm wondering if those bullshiet busts back in late Nov'2001 caused potential crackers to become more subdued? Hmmmmmmmm..

Well what I would like to know is this. There have been at least two occasions where I've emailed no-cd files to GCW and they never show up in the updates. If we submit fixes and no-cd's for recent games, then why would they get 'censored'? ???

Perhaps EMPiRE can best answer that query!

All I know is the files I've sent have been received and posted! Which e-mail address did you send them to!
