Although Nero is good, for backing up protected games there is only one program that does this brilliantly. Clone CD.
AOE2 has Safedisk 1 protection which is far easier than Safedisk 2. As long as your burner is capable of RAW-96 (most writers are) you will be able to back this game up with Clone CD. Read the game to an image file from your burner. Select Fast Error Skip, with the Fast Error Skip settings as follows: Read Retries = 0, Error Correction = Software. Then just burn the image file back to a CD. All being well this will give you a perfect backup of the game (as long as your writer supports RAW-96. Check the Clone CD Compatitbility list that's included in the help file of Clone CD to check if ur burner is compatitable.)

why would a burner need raw-96 for safedisc 1, or any computer game? please dont lie to the newbies, especially about using nero.
Section 2 of my response, most burners are NOT raw-96 compatible. good burners are, but they are not typically bundled with a system that you find newhere: you have to go and buy it separately.
