hi all,

i am trying to create a backup of above mentioned game, german version. I just can't get the damned thing to work. I am using CloneCD version 2.8. I have a LiteOn LTR 121001B CD/RW. I have tried to copy the original CD on a CD/RW and CD/R. After completion, both CD's are not readable in any CD Rom drive anymore. I have tried to create a image, then burn image to Cd. Same result. Nero wont burn it at all.

Does anybody have any ideas

AOE2 has the very easy protection of Safedisk 1. First of all, update your version of Clone CD (it's up to 3.3.4.1 now).
Your Lite On can write in RAW 96 I think so select read to image file and tick fast error skip. In the fast error skip tab, enter reas retries = 0, error correction = software.
Now burn the image file back to a CD-R.

Most new games contain Safedisk 2 protection which is more demanding on hardware. Your Lite On isn't compatitable, but an new option in Clone CD might help you create a backup of these Safedisk 2 games. When writing to the disk (when it's Safedisk 2), select Amplify Weak Sectors.)

thank you for your answer. I tried what you suggested. But, i still can't read the rewritable. I got myself an CDClone update aswell.

Hi all,

back again with same game. I did manage to create a backup of the game. I updated my CloneCD version. The Backup CD/R does run on my Pc at home on which i did burn it, put on my other Pc (i have 4 ) the stupid thing is not readable. No Cd drive is able to read it. What am i doing wrong?

I would apprechiate some help.
