A Person in a different forum has confirmed it to work on a US 30001r v5 with a gameshark2 v1.93. He said it took less than 15 minutes to install.

I recieved one from from gamegizmo.com, but it does require one "bridge-wire" solder. It was very simple though, and works great. (If its the one you are talking about.)

No, what you describe is a usb mod, this is a internal no solder modchip for v5 PS2's only.

Sorry 'bout that. It does sound interesting though, so I think I'll check it out for myself. Thanks for the info.

I just checked out the info on it, and it is much simper, due to the fact you don't have to solder anything, as well as take off the top plate. One thing I also noticed is it claims to play CD-R and DVD-R games flawlessly, while the NEO-Key (USB) just mentions CD-Rs... Does this mean it won't read backed up DVD-Rs?

USB mods don't play DVD-Rs.

Ordered one yesterday... Thanks again for the info. I also found through newsgroups and forums that burning a DVD image requires NTFS formatting, if anyone cares... I re-installed Win2000 on a one o' my partitions with NTFS formatting and all is well... Thanks to everyone who helped!
