PS2 Won't Eject After Release Reset Button (Double Swap) - ???
I have a version 5 PS2, and I'm trying to get a dvd rip to boot (won't work with the normal starchip/GS2 boot method). I'm told the double swap method is effective, but my console won't eject after I release the reset button when I get to the GameShark2 menu.

Unfortunately, the thread you mentioned deals with the pal version 5, not the ntsc version - none of the boot methods listed in the thread work for my ntsc version 5. Thanks for taking the time though.

The only starchip diagram that i have seen for a US v5 PS2 uses a 5 wire install. pins 3.6 and 7 are not used because a v5 console doesnt support the EA tray eject method. Because of this loading a dvdr backup will require the use of a gameshark2 v1.93 and you must use the cog, knife method for the final swap.
