Return to Castle Wolfenstein
I cannot get this CD to copy with CloneCD. I've tried the usual settings for copy protected disks to no avail. I even edited the registry to turn on Amplify Weak Sectors, but still no go. The game doesn't require a CD to run and appears to check for some sort of protection during the install. Towards the end of the install, the installer acts like it's having trouble reading the disc (with the original). The copied version just fails at this point.
Please post any settings if anyone has been able to get this to copy successfully. I'm using an Acer 12x writer which, I think, supports every form of writing known to man. -SHAKYJAKE |

Okay dude,
The CD has Overburn, which puts more on a CD than it actually has, so that's why it wont copy, but if you go to Explorer and just copy the info off of the CD into a temp folder on your HDD, I think it's small enough to fit on a CD, but you might have to zip it...that's it... Late |

I was using 700MB discs, but you're saying it's even larger media?

Copied a few hours ago
I just copied this a few hours ago,
I used CloneCD 3.2.1.1 and the standard settings from gamecopyworld, (under -MAIN-, -Backup protected CDs-) I used my HP100i DVD writer as the reader and burner, burned it to a CompUSA 80min CDR, installed it and played it with no problems. --Lassk |
