Copy of Sims Hot Date faulty

Made a copy of Sims Hot Date - straight with CloneCD. It installs 100% (at least on the face of it) but when I want to play the game with the copied Hot Date CD in, it will not boot up.
When I put the original CD in, it boots up 100% (the game that was installed from the copied CD).
Can anybody help me on this?
