Dumb question....need an answer

Am I to assume that since I live in the US that I would need the US versions of no cd, etc and that when it says the version is English it would not help me? I know it sounds dumb but I cannot figure it out.

If you need the patch for US cd's, the english just refers to the language used. Use the English patches.
