Championship Manager 01/02

I am trying to make a copy of championship manager 01/02. Having tried the following with no success I am looking for new ideas.

1. Straight CD copy. This seems to work and allows me to install the game. But when I click on the game exe the system hangs. I have also changed the exe to the NoCD patch from gamecopyworld with the same results.

2. Using advice on this forum, tried using CLONECD to create an image and burn this. Seems though that my CD writer may not support this method.

Any ideas?? I thought this would be straight forward as the only protection seems to be the large AFP files.

Well the way I would say to do it is, copy the full contents of the Champo 01/02 cd into a folder on your hardrive, then create a folder in that folder you just made called crack. Put the cracked .exe file into this. Now burn the contents of the folder onto a cd with the cd name the same as the original. Then install it from the cd u just made and copy the crack you also put on the cd in the crack folder over the top of the original one and it will work!!
