I don't know what protection it uses but get clonyXl and it will identify the protection for you

Nero made it without a problem, the no-cd off of GCW works fine

Here in Australia, which is nearly the same as the UK version, its protected by SecuROM *NEW* ..

ClonyXL will only detect this if you run the game without the cd in the drive & ClonyXl running at the same time, it did for me anyway ...
