Flash Linker Roms

I am thinking about buying the Advanced Flash Linker and I saw that you really gave good advice to John_UK who is a newbie too. That already helped me a lot but I still wonder bout some things.
1. It's easy to find plenty of GBA Roms on the net, but they are made for Emulators. Are they working with the GBA too? Or do I ve to find special ones? I got the Wild Card Copy Station for the SNES but couldn't get the Roms from the Internet working with it yet. 2. And is the cadridge they deliver with the kit same size as an original one?
Thanks very much if anyone could help me

I forgot one more thing.
3. If I download a Rom, Mario Kart for example, and burn it on the catridge of the flash linker, is it then possible to save games? Like Best Time in Mario Kart? I think the original Catridges got a battery so I wonder if that is possible with the card of the flash linker too.

Let's c:

1) if the roms you find are .gba, then it's a backup of an original cart, thus, made for a GBA. The Emulators came later. There are also homemade developed demos and other stuff that should work on the GBA too...

2) there are two or three sizes on the flashable carts... the 256Mbit one is for sure the same size than the originals and fits 100% on the cart spot on the GBA. I have a 128Mbit one that has a slight part off of the console, but it's still portable. The best thing is to ask before ordering.

3) You don't BURN carts, you FLASH them. And yes, the cart comes with battery and SRAM banks to save your progress on games. You can then transfer the SRAM information to the PC and viceversa.

Thank you very much for you help Areku.
On gamecopyworld.com, I saw an "USA2Euro Patch" for a GBA game. I thought you can use every game with every GBA. Wether it is Jap, Euro or USA. But what is that Patch for then? Do they ve the same protection for the GBA games as for the GameCube? So that you can't use an USA game with the Jap or Euro GBA?
That is very important for me cause I bought my GBA in Hongkong so I ve no idea wether it is for Japan or USA. But on the Net they always have different Rom Versions (Jap, Euro, USA).

That patch prolly reffers to a bug fix or trainer (cheat).

You can play ANY ROM on ANY GBA.

Yest I was playing EX Monopoly, a japanese monopoly game, and had to drop it, coz I have no idea of nihongo

Seriously, GBAs don't have zone protection schemes.

Thanks again Areku. Due to your help I finally ordered the Flash Linker and a 128MB card.
By the way, I read somewhere only the new and fast Flash Advance TURBO cards run at the same speed as the original games. The normale ones are slower. Is that true or just an advertisment to sell more of the new turbo cards?
If it is true, I hope I ll get a fast one.
Anyway, thanks again for your help.

TeaWu,

I don't know... I guess I have an "old" 128Mb GBA cartd and it plays fine all the games i've tested... don't have the originals, so i don' tknow what do they understand by playing games "slower". I really doubt F-Zero Maximum Velocity can be played faster!!
