MaxPayne_noCD patch. Say executable, but downloads as zip and i cant open it? Help

I just built this new pc. I installed this patch with no problems on the other pc. Its suppose to be executable file. When i get to the point to where it ask me to open from current or save to disk it showes up as a zip file. I know how to unzip files but it want let me. It just shows up as a explorer icon when i save it to my desktop. What the deal here, What am i doing wrong?
It was easy as crap the 1st time.

just a little more info. I noticed its suppose to be a zip file, sorry. I'm still having a problem though.
I just saved it to my max pane directory. It shows up as a internet explorer page. When I try and open it nothing happens. Again, I have done this before with no problems. when I check the properties it says it 1.5mb which is correct but i cant open it. any ideas?

the patch is a WINACE patch matey, go to WWW.WINACE.COM and download the winace proggie. once you got it installed use the same way as you use winzip to apply the exe patch to the fully installed game.

im about half way thru the game..its awesome !

i burned a perfect 1:1 copy of max payne using clonecd 2.8.3.1 and a phillps 8x4x32 burner.
Fast Error Skip Checked (with retry set at 5)
read at max
burn at max
installs just as fast as the og i timed them.
no probs so far.

go to magagames.com they have the nocd in exe.why they keep going to winace is beyond me.It dosen't work with ME maybe the last ver does but who wants to pay $30 for winace to crack a 1.2 meg file.If that will be the new standared then I will get winace but seems to jump around from rar / winzip to winace why not keep it simple.

I just tried it and had about 10 new browser windows pop up with all types of crap - and now 'gaming' site to be seen at all...
