What do I need to play back-up using Jap PS2?
I need help!
I am not sure what I need to do in order to play backup games. I've been looking for some info about this, but most of what I found were only related to US PS2. I heard that there's a way to play all CD-R and DVD-R without using any modchip at all, using AR2 or DVD Region X, and a knife swap trick (which I already learned how to do ). Any comment is greatly appreciated. Thank you.By the way, my PS2 is the Jap one, SCPH 10000. |

If you are prepared to use a modchip, I can help you.
If you want to use the knife trick, I can only remind you what the knife was designed to do! |

Well, I used to have modchip on my PS2, but I took it off. I am not sure what kind it was, but it couldnt play most of the back up games (CDR and DVDR), there were only a small collection of back up games that could be booted. I needed to boot using Utility disc and then swapped it with the back up games.
What's the best modchip out there for SCPH 10000? Will it allow me to play DVDR/CDR back up and is there I need besides the modchip (like a boot disc or something)? THanks. |

You will need DVD Region X as your boot disk. Needn't be JAP version because OrigaChip boots import originals. |
